Nevada Robbery Penalties

Robbery is considered one of the more serious types of theft crimes simply because it involves force, threats, and violence. Depending on the details and circumstances of the offense, penalties can vary. If the robbery involved usage of a deadly weapon, you can be charged with armed robbery, which carries its own set of penalties that can be added to the base sentence.

If convicted, penalties for robbery can include:

  • 2-15 years in Nevada State Prison

  • If convicted of armed robbery, a judge can add an additional prison sentence of 1-20 years
